St Columba’s Primary School, Adamstown was established by the Sisters of Mercy in the 1890s. It continues to serve the Catholic community in the local area and several neighbouring suburbs. The Sisters of Mercy maintain a close link with the school.
At St Columba’s, we emphasise the vital role parents play in the education of their children, and in the life of the school. Parents are involved in a wide range of areas including the P and F Association, the celebration of Masses and liturgies, Parent Assisted Learning programmes, reading, excursions, classroom assistance, sporting activities, canteen and maintenance.
