St Catherine's is a small school community situated 15kms north of Melbourne in Lalor West.
From its inception it was seen as a community school and this important feature has continued to be nurtured. St Catherine's is a community of faith; a meeting place of teachers, students, parents and the wider parish community where witness is given to the Gospel values and where the dignity and importance of each person is promoted in light of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Students, parents and staff are seen as partners in the school community. Open communication is promoted and encouraged and parents are encouraged to be involved in a range of learning opportunities and programs.
We have a current enrolment of 129 children coming from 98 families. A feature of our school community is its multicultural and multi- faith nature. Our community is of European, Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, South American, Anglo-Saxon backgrounds.
