Our centre philosophy and aim is to provide a safe, secure, friendly learning environment for all children, irrespective of age, gender or race, to learn and develop to their full potential.
We believe that building a strong bond with each child and family is of high importance and necessary for the families to have confidence in the centre and for developing each child’s self esteem and security.
Here at
High Street Early Learning Centre we believe parent involvement is a vital resource for staff, children and parents, therefore we welcome open communication and encourage parent participation.
We feel that our responsibilities as professionals is to provide parents with knowledge and support that is relevant to their child through their development in the early years sector.
At High Street Early Learning Centre we implement an emergent curriculum. This is a child interest based program which enables us to cater for each child’s individual needs, interest, culture and background. We believe that working together to document children’s learning gives a holistic view of each individual child.
Staff will encourage children to participate in activities that scaffold the children’s knowledge according to their ability and interest. We endeavor to provide an atmosphere that is stimulating, calm, inviting and for children to make their own choices which we believe develops self worth and self esteem.
All children have a right to belong with equal opportunities to education and care.
Every child is Unique.
Every child is special.
