Our aim for the children at Renown Kindergarten is to provide them with a happy and welcoming environment, one that fosters the personal, social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child.
We see the child as capable - full of wonder and with endless potential. We recognise the child’s innate desire to learn and to make sense of the world around them.
Young children are continually asking questions of themselves and others. They are building up their own unique set of answers. Young children need many opportunities to investigate and explore in a hands-on way that will allow them to deepen their understandings.
They do not need teachers who simply give them the answers, but who embark on the learning journey with them and are available to offer guidance and share skills as required. We recognise that children learn in a wide variety of ways and express their developing knowledge and understandings through many different mediums.
It is our objective to provide the children with a supportive and stimulating environment where they are guided through a broad range of experiences designed to heighten their interest and enthusiasm for learning.
