Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College is one of the very few schools in Australia that features Catholic co-education from Transition to Year 12 across three campuses. Each campus
is able to focus on the age level of the students attending that campus and thereby provide a
systematic approach to learning, co-responsibility, moral and social development.
As a Catholic school Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College not only aspires to gospel values but
endeavours to positively support each students‟ faith development. All students and their
parents/guardians are expected to support and co-operate with the Catholic ethos of the College, no
matter their denomination. Enrolment is contingent on affirmation of this key principle.
It is acknowledged that the school‟s influence on the character development of its students is
secondary to that of the home. Parents are the primary educators of their children and the values that
they impart will largely outweigh the efforts of the school. When both the home and the school
provide mutual support for the pursuit of Christian values there develops a sense of purpose that
augurs well for the future.
