Woolianna School is located 10km from the Nauiyu Nambiyu community, 230km southwest of Darwin. The population of the surrounding community is approximately 300 and the main language groups are Kriol, Ngangikurrungurr, Ngangiwumirri and Marithiel. The school can be accessed year round by road; however access during the wet season can be limited.
Woolianna School is part of the Top End Group School and provides education for students from early years to middle years. Students at the school are predominantly Indigenous, and attend the school from the local Woolianna area as well as from the Nauiyu Nambiyu community. Students are picked up daily by the school bus. The school, in conjunction with the Red Cross, has introduced the Good Start Breakfast Club.
