A co-educational Years 8 - 12
Good Shepherd Catholic College maintains a proud tradition of providing opportunities for young men and women to achieve their best and is most concerned that students are encouraged to grow academically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. We are a co-educational Year 8-12 Catholic College of 360 students, 35 teaching staff with total of 51 staff. ‘Good Shepherd Catholic College’ is closely aligned to the Good Shepherd Parish and is administered by the Catholic Education Office of Townsville. The staff of the College recognises the importance of the holistic development of young people as life-long learners who will make a difference in being a presence of Christ in our world. A strong emphasis is placed on faith education and Christian living at the College. The ideals and teachings of Jesus are core beliefs and values within our community. There is a developmental religious education program, school retreats, liturgies and other activities that promote the religious development of our young men and women. The inclusion of senior schooling has greatly enriched teaching and learning from year eight through to year twelve and compliments the technologically rich curriculum offered by the College.
