Hawthorn Community Education Centre (HCEC) was established in 1982 and is a not-for-profit incorporated association. Many people are involved in our Centre either as program participants, volunteers, committee of managment members or advisors.
Our diverse range of programs are designed to meet the learning needs of older, disabled and housebound people of all ages. They foster a positive view of ageing and disability through the development of skills and abilities that promote personal well-being, further educational opportuniteis and community connectedness.
Participants often enjoy a long involvement with HCEC because participation in learning far outweighs any other outcome.
