Founded in 1989 by Brother Pat Carey, of the Christian Brothers, Kolbe is a co-educational secondary College situated in picturesque grounds within the Rockingham educational precinct. Since inception, Kolbe has grown to be a thriving community with an enrolment of nearly 1000 students from Years 7 to 12. The College’s motto,Courage, Faith, Excellence, inspired by our patron, St Maximilian Kolbe, challenges students to capitalise on their many gifts. They are assisted in this endeavour through our diverse and rich array of learning opportunities, both within and outside of the classroom.
Christian faith is a precious gift from God and we strive to nurture the faith of students and staff, especially through our curriculum, through prayer and the Eucharist, and through serving those in need. The first learning area of our curriculum is Religious Education. In this subject, students are encouraged to reflect on how Christian faith impacts of human life and culture.
