Marayong Heights Public School was established in 1961 and quickly became known as "The School on the Hill," with views over Blacktown to the east and the Blue Mountains to the west. Since 1961 Marayong Heights Public School has provided the local community with quality education and has catered for thousands of students.

In 2001 the school underwent a major refurbishment and building program and in late 2001 opened its "new school" on the current site. The modern design of the buildings incorporates the latest in educational technology and provides the students with a pleasant and stimulating learning environment.

The learning community at Marayong Heights is a partnership between enthusiastic students, skilled, experienced and dedicated teachers and a supportive and active parent body all working together.
