The School of Arts and Social Sciences offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the main campuses in Townsville and Cairns and more specialised programs in Mackay, Singapore and Brisbane.
The school is committed to providing students with wide, contemporary exposure to the Arts and Social Sciences, particularly in the first year of study, enabling them to make more informed choices about possible career paths in later years.All majors include at least two core subjects from closely allied disciplines, again providing interdisciplinary context and enrichment and providing students with broader employment options and opportunities.In addition, the School offers high-quality accredited professional training in Social Work and Psychology, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
