At Penshurst Primary School our moto - "Learning Together" - describes our belief that learning is a life long pursuit. We provide the best possible educational opportunities for our students in a safe, caring, challenging and supportive environment that enables each student to reach their full potential now and prepares them for the future years to come.
The school operates as a single class P-6 , during which cross age tutoring is a feature. Staffing is at a level of 1.8 teachers and a business manager at 0.21. The eight learning areas English, Mathematics, Science, Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Studies of Society and Specialist Environment, LOTE and Technology are undertaken in accordance with current guidelines.
Children have access to their own personal lap top computer whilst at school as well as 5 work stations in the classroom; in addition the school has peripherals such as an interactive smart boards situated in all classrooms , digital cameras, flip cam, video camera, scanner, web cameras and a CD burner.
