Established in 1991, the Austin Research Institute (ARI) is a leading edge medical research institute located on the grounds of Austin Health in Heidelberg. The ARI is a centre of excellence and has the status of an internationally-acclaimed research facility. The ARI continues to make world-first advances in its four major areas of research: cancer, infectious diseases, inflammatory diseases and transplantation. The ARI is a committed and collaborative member of the international research community and has opportunities for students undertaking PhD and other postgraduate studies.
