Hastings Public School, a modern style building, set amidst a rainforest reserve and landscaped gardens, was established in 1981. The leafy school grounds, the adjoining environmental learnscape and the open plan design of classrooms, are notable physical aspects of the school, appreciated by students, staff and visitors.
