Timber Creek School is situated 280km west of Katherine in the community of Timber Creek. The community is a regional service centre for local Indigenous communities, cattle stations and tourists. The population of Timber Creek is approximately 700 and the main language groups are Ngarinyman and Ngaliwurru. The community can be accessed via road all year round. Timber Creek can be accessed via air through chartered air services only.
Timber Creek School is part of the Katherine Group School. The school offers a breakfast program and implements the Accelerated Literacy program.
