Our School was established by the Capuchin Friars and first opened in 1964 under the spiritual guidance and leadership of the Josephite Sisters. The original three classes have since expanded to 24 with an enrolment of approximately 630 boys and girls from Reception to Year 7.
At St Francis of Assisi School we work with all in our community to build a quality learning environment which is relevant and significant to the lives of children and is immersed in Franciscan spirituality.
St Francis of Assisi School strives to provide a broad based education and caring learning environment that will
enable children to realise their full potential in all aspects of their development. Our philosophy is founded on
the example of Jesus’ teaching and is articulated in our philosophy which provides a sound foundation and
direction for the life and activities of the school.
