Kelvin Grove State College is part of a unique educational precinct. It is only three kilometres from Brisbane City’s central business district.
Our college seeks to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for all. Our focus is on excellence in all areas of education. This is articulated and promoted through expectations of a strong work ethic, pride in, and recognition of, socially just practices including valuing social diversity, and civic participation.
With a long-established reputation as a School of Excellence in dance, golf, football and tennis, we also offer specialised learning programs such as accelerated pathways to universities, particularly QUT and Academic Achiever classes in the Middle School. Links with industry through apprenticeships and traineeships are available to our senior school students. We are also proud of our long history of educating so many international students whose participation in the college enriches the learning experiences of all of our students. Our learning program does, indeed, cater for students of all abilities and with many interest areas.
