The Graduate Research College, in line with the University's Mission, concentrates on developing research activities in fields of national and international significance where it can draw upon local resources and opportunities, and in return, can make a significant contribution to the North Coast region. It ensures quality in postgraduate research candidate recruitment, supervision, examination and support and acts to remove barriers wherever possible to research candidates achieving their goals. The College is responsible for administering policies and rules as they relate to Research and Research Training. This is done through the Research and Research Training Advisory Committee, which is a sub committee of the Academic Board of the University and through other sub-committees such as the Higher Degrees Committee (Research).
