St Mary’s Primary School, Bellingen is a K-6 coeducational Catholic primary school, drawing students from the Bellinger Valley and the seaboard towns of Urunga, Raleigh, Repton and Valla. The school motto, Live in Harmony, places a strong emphasis on self confidence; working with others, respecting differences, doing one’s best and caring for the environment.
St Mary’s offers an education which has a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy while maintaining a balance for creativity. Curriculum differentiation to cater for the diverse needs of students, values education and electives for sport, the arts and recreation are important features of school life. Religious Education is taught to all classes. The school enjoys a close relationship with the local parish and the other parish school, Mt St John’s, Dorrigo.
