Matraville Sports High School is a co-educational community high school, in spacious grounds, providing a supportive, caring and disciplined learning environment for all students. It offers quality academic and sporting facilities, and incorporates a variety of traditional, challenging and innovative courses designed to meet the needs of all students.

The school is well equipped with a modern gymnasium, sports-fields, 6 computer laboratories, a 'connected classroom' (enabling web-cam conferencing), Internet and intranet access in the library, and 6 inter-active whiteboards. Year 9 students receiving laptop computers as part of the DET 'laptops for learning' program have wireless access to the Internet and the school's intranet.

Although our Talented Sports Program provides a unique opportunity for students with a special aptitude for sporting activities, the school and its traditional curriculum remains open to all students in the local drawing area and others on application.
