Gosford High is an academically selective school committed to meet the learning needs of successful, high achieving boys and girls. Our curriculum is rigorous and our students rise to the challenges their teachers provide. We have a commitment to keeping our curriculum engaging and relevant to the needs of very able students and recent innovations, including those in English and HSIE in Stages 4 and 5, plus an increased focus on technology across the curriculum ensure we do this.
Our school has a strong sporting tradition and excels at regional and state level with, each year, a number of students representing the school at elite levels. A strong and successful tradition of annual interschool visits with Orange High School began in 1968. The replaying of the final after a draw was done in such a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that it was decided such spirit should be fostered. Hence, our tradition began.
The culture of enquiry and learning is fostered by like minded students being able to exchange ideas in an environment developed to meet the needs of gifted and talented students.
