John Edmondson High School was opened in 2005 with only Year 7 students. However, all school buildings were completed for a final predicted enrolment of approximately 1000 students. The school is well resourced, both in available space for specialist activities and the technology and equipment to support them. Facilities include a music centre, library with computer access, a total of six computer areas, an art centre with workshop space and a darkroom. Technology areas which support focus on both Industrial Arts and Food Technology, science labs, a large auditorium and 6 outdoor learning areas.
