Mount Carmel is a single stream school of 130 students catering for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6 in the Redfern/Waterloo area. Over 60% of the students are Indigenous with another 30% coming from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Reading Recovery, English as a Second Language and Special Education Programs provide for students with identified specific learning needs and a differentiated curriculum caters for all ranges of ability within the classroom setting.
