Wagaman Primary School (WPS) is a small urban primary school in the Northern Suburbs of Darwin. It has an enrolment of approximately 300 students. The student population is very diverse with approximately 50% of our population being of ESL background, including 24% indigenous. We have approximately 32 staff including senior staff, classroom teachers, Special Education teacher, Literacy Support teachers, Health and PE teacher, a Teacher Librarian, an AIEW and a number of para professionals.
Wagaman School is a facility with extensive grounds. It comprises four wings, with a mix of single classrooms and semi-open multi-class areas, as well as specialist rooms for music, performing arts, fine arts and a computer laboratory. The building revolution has provided us with a new library, conference room, teacher resource room and music/meeting room.
