Woodroffe Primary School (WPS) is located in the suburb of Woodroffe in the city of Palmerston. The school has a diverse multicultural student population from P- Year 6. WPS also has a Special Education Unit that caters for children in the Palmerston area with high support needs. A rigorous whole school approach is taken to address Literacy and Numeracy outcomes through the utilisation of First Steps in Reading, Writing and Number. A variety of intervention programs complement this to address the learning needs of 'at risk' students. A range of extra curricula activities to enhance student learning and engagement are also offered. WPS has a whole school commitment to the Tribes?process and aims to build a school community that provides a safe and caring environment where individual differences and the diversity of cultures are valued and respected.
