At Abergowrie, students enjoy access to modern and traditional teaching methods, with 18 students being supported by 1 full time teaching principal , a part time classroom teaching partner and three teacher aides, as well as many visiting staff. We utilise the Mathsmate homework program, Mathletics online learning website, Reading A-to-Z online reading, as well as teaching via traditional and functional literacy models through all our pedagogy. We are continually striving to maintain current ICT (Information, Communication and Technologies) infrastructure with our computer to student ratio now at 1:1, and all Year 6 and 7 students now having access to a personal laptop while at school. We also use interactive whiteboards and place strong emphasis on connecting students to the world through ICTs. In 2009 we continued to develop our infrastructure with increased wireless access now across the school, utilising and learning with GPS technology and investigating new ways to educate students for the future.
