Pioneer Secondary School was set up in January 1994 with 12 Secondary 1 classes. While waiting for the school building to be ready, it was temporarily housed at Hong Kah Secondary School under the same principal, Mrs. Yeo Chin Nam, until December 1994, when it moved to its new premises in 21, Jurong West Street 81. Mrs. Tan Sor Poh was appointed principal, followed by Mr. Tan Chor Pang and then Mr. Satianathan s/o K Nadarajah. Mr. Chan Weng Kit, Mark, is the current principal, having been appointed in December 2011.
