2011 school year opened under trying conditions with rescue and repair work still being undertaken following
the floods of December 2010 and January 2011. The school was mostly operational but major work on, in
particular, the school’s toilets and plumbing continued. The replacement of whitegoods also occurred early in
term 1. The BER project was still mostly incomplete and the floods created delays with the completion of the
BER refurbishment of the upstairs areas. These were finally completed at the end of Term 1. There were
changes to our enrolment predictions with an increased number of students. Further enrolments throughout
the year saw our enrolment rise to 16 at one point with 15 being maintained for most of the year. In the
absence of Year 5 and 6 during 2011, the structure of the school was balanced as junior and senior groups.
The school continued to be a one teacher school with support by specialist teachers in LOTE, Music and PE.
We also received additional support from AVT – ASD and STLaN.
