Gin Gin State High School has been the recipient of three regional showcase awards and one state award in the past three years. In 2009 we were recognized for our outstanding senior schooling results for sustained overall position success. In 2011, Gin Gin State High School won the Commonwealth Bank state showcase award in the middle phase of learning for our Gin Gin alternative pathways program (GGAP). In 2012 the school was successful in winning a regional award for ‘Above And Beyond,’ reflecting our numeracy and literacy results in the junior school. In 2012, Gin Gin State High School was awarded the National Australia Bank (NAB) Schools First Impact Award, a state award recognizing the wonderful productive school community partnerships we have forged in the areas of horticulture, landcare, construction, manufacturing and engineering.
Students have opportunities in vocational pathways as part of our recently acquired trade training centre and to participate in structured workplace learning opportunities with the local community. In addition, students can compete at interschool, district, regional and state level in sport.
