Glenden State School’s aim is to provide the best education possible for every student in our care. We have a very important role in that we are the only school available to employees of Newlands Coal (Xstrata). For this reason we maintain close ties with the mining community as our major client. They, in turn, support the school in many ways to the benefit of the school and the community.

We provide a high quality education that assists all to engage in learning, develop judgement and a sense of responsibility, understand the past and prepare to embrace the future. We equip young people for the future to enable them to contribute to a socially, economically and culturally vibrant society.
