Welcome to the Karumba State School Website. Karumba State School is a small remote school situated on the Gulf Of Carpentaria, that caters for the educational needs of students from Prep to year 7. Karumba Township has a stable population of around 600 residents that swells into the thousands during it's peak tourist season. Our community members have roots in all walks of life, with most working in the fishing, tourism, cattle or mining industries.Karumba State School currently has 35 students enrolled across 2 classrooms. The current staffing allocations include the Principal, 2 fulltime teachers, 1 part - time teacher, 3 teacher aides, cleaner, grounds person, pool supervisor and an administration officer.
