Welcome to our wonderful web page. Our school enjoys 360’ panoramic views of the beautiful Lockyer. To the west our view is of the towering Great Dividing Range. What a great place to live, learn and grow as young citizens.
Kentville State School was opened on October 1907 and celebrated it’s centenary in 2007. Our school, like all state schools, enjoys a reputation for providing a quality education, which is now mainly based on the National Curriculum.
At Kentville State School we believe that literacy and numeracy are foundational to all learning. These subjects are taught in smaller groups according to our student's learning needs. We also teach an Integrated Curriculum Program incorporating Science, SOSE (Study of Society and the Environment), HPE (Health and Physical Education), Technology and The Arts. Students in Years six and seven are learning Japanese via the School of Distance Education.
