The school offers a range of specialist lessons. Children access specialist lessons in Physical Education, Music, and for students in year 4-7 Japanese. An Instrumental Program is continually developing within the school. The school has access to two specialists in the areas of Woodwind, Brass, Percussion and Strings.
Our school has had all primary classes cabled enabling full internet access. The school also maintains a specialised intranet for staff and pupil use in the school. All classes access computers on a regular basis with a major in class emphasis in Years 6 and 7. The school has established a computer laboratory supported through the planned purchase of additional computers. Children in lower school receive specialist computer lessons to help build their skills and support in class use in later years.
The student social support strategy of Mooloolaba State School provides an explanation of beliefs and structures used to assist students in the school. It provides an understanding of how students are proactively supported in a framework with clear goals and parameters.
