Undurba State School is an amazing school with a strong value base designed to provide the best outcomes for all children who attend. The school also has a strong family base with many siblings spending their whole primary career with us, as well as a significant number of second generation enrolments.
In 2011, our school community undertook discussions and preparations to introduce the move of Year 7 students to secondary school. With the building of a new high school adjacent to Undurba, the community lobbied the Director General to enable our Year 7 students to be the first Queensland students to complete Year 7 in a secondary setting. After this request was granted we introduced a formalised leadership program for our Year 6 students to prepare them for secondary school. The Year 6 students were also included in our end of year celebrations usually reserved for Year 7 students.
