Pomona State School is situated at the base of majestic Mount Cooroora, in the old town of Pomona - west of the tourist area of Noosa Heads on Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast. This school opened in its current location in 1976. However, Pomona State School is over 100 years old, and shares much of Pomona township’s history.The school has a growing reputation as a school that provides a holistic and quality education for all students. We currently have approximately 300 students enrolled from Preparatory Year to Year 7. Many of our new enrolments come from families moving to Pomona from interstate and around Queensland.
