Pormpuraaw State School has had another very successful year with impressive gains in academic outcomes for most students. Our NAPLAN results continue to improve with a mention in the Courier Mail, describing how some areas of the test show improvement by 200 points between students in Year 3 2008 to Year 5 2010.
The school also went through a transition where a principal transferred out with a new acting principal to be appointed at the school. The smooth succession plan in place ensured the school continued to run smoothly with staff, students and community in full support of this process occurring.
