Shailer Park State School is located on the one way Bulwarna Street, Shailer Park. The school shares a border with Shailer Park State High School and is part of the Logan-Albert-
Beaudesert District and South Coast Education Region. The school attracts students from the surrounding suburbs of Shailer Park, Springwood, Daisy Hill, Tanah Merah, Loganholme, Carbrook and Eagleby.
The school community consists of a broad cross-section of society and includes a range of socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The school was established in 1982 at the time when rapid growth in the area was evident. Enrolments peaked at 900 in the late 1980’s.
In 2009, over 620 students attended the school. Shailer Park State School is a primary school catering for students in Prep to Year 7.
