Virginia is a small but well-established school. From a small beginning in 1920 with 135 pupils, there are now over 360 children attending.
Our school has recently been refurbished creating 4 double teaching spaces with 7 co-operative teaching spaces and two demountable double teaching classrooms. Our large Activity area can be partitioned to create space for our Instrumental and Classroom Music Programs. The school’s Resource Centre is fully networked and automated. All of our classes are networked and connected to both the Intra and Internet.
A student support centre has been created to address our special needs children and accommodate the learning support staff, resources and our voluntary aides.
Virginia State School enjoys a great reputation in the local community. We are a school of excellence in music and have dedicated and talented teachers whose focus remains on the improvement of academic and social outcomes for all students.
