Kingston-on-Murray Primary School really is a small school with BIG opportunities. Situated on the River Murray in the Riverland, the school offers many educational programs including literacy and numeracy teaching, Health and Physical Education, Student Well-being, Activity based learning and Environmental programs. Students are involved in daily, explicit literacy and numeracy blocks of learning with Miss Natasha Hefford (Reception to Year 2) and Mrs Jo Bevan (Years 3 to 7).
Integrated Learning afternoons engage all students in many varied learning opportunities through the use of such resources as the bird garden, turtle pond, the River Murray, Activity-based learning centres, well-resourced library, interactive whiteboards, laptops and digital media. Individual Learning Plans are an important part of student learning at Kingston-on-Murray Primary School with students, teachers and parents working together to set and review challenging yet achievable literacy, numeracy and other educational goals regularly.
School Services Officers work to support students in their learning through literacy and numeracy intervention programs such as Multilit. The school prides itself on its six values of independence, honesty, responsibility, respect, loyalty and optimism. Kingston-on-Murray Primary School offers facilities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, an oval and shaded play areas.
