Port Augusta West Primary School R-7 has a strong focus on Literacy, Numeracy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The school is well resourced, boasting interactive whiteboard in every classroom. We are currently part of the Big Ideas - In Number Project and use the Friendly Schools and Families program (we teach the anti- bullying unit each year).
We also use Restorative Justice Practices and encourage students to responsibly solve problems. Our school has the town primary special class, which impacts on our students' learning and National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) scores. We provide significant School Services Officer (SSO) and counsellor support for these students.
