Scottsdale High School is a Tasmanian government secondary school located at Scottsdale in north-east Tasmania. Enrolment in 2008 is approximately 400 students in total, 370 of whom are enrolled at the secondary campus. Approximately 30 students are enrolled at the Dorset Education and Training Centre located 2 km from the high school, which offers Year 11 and 12 Tasmanian Certificate of Education study in Maths, English and Information and Communication Technologies, as well as a range of Vocational Education and Training courses. The school also operates a farm located just outside of Scottsdale and the Mt Cameron Outdoor Education Field Studies Centre, approximately one hour's drive away. The school serves a wide spread community and receives students from Scottsdale, Bridport, Ringarooma, Branxholm and Winnaleah. In keeping with the Tasmanian Curriculum, students study seven compulsory subjects: English–literacy (including Languages Other Than English), Mathematics–numeracy, Science, Society and History, Health and wellbeing, the Arts and Vocational and Applied Learning. Skills in Information and Communication Technologies and Thinking are developed in all areas of the curriculum.
