It is the result of a unique partnership between the Victorian Government and Monash University, and is located in a purpose-built facility on the university's Clayton Campus. John Monash Science School opened its doors to students in Term One 2010, starting with an initial intake of 200 students. The comprehensive curriculum satisfies all Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) requirements, while the focus on the sciences, mathematics and associated technologies allows students to benefit from specialised and enhanced learning opportunities.
