Berendale is a modern and innovative school that offers an alternative education for students with a mild to moderate intellectual disability. It is a Secondary Special School. Berendale is located in Hampton East and services students in the South Eastern Suburbs.
Our prime purpose is to train students to be actively engaged in their community in their post school life. This means working, living, participating, and contributing to community life. We believe that our students should be ‘valued’ by the community but also have a responsibility to ‘add value’ to the community. Throughout their school life there is a concentration on volunteer work as a viable work option.
