Furlong Park School for Deaf Children is situated on extensive grounds in North Sunshine.
The school provides educational programs for both pre-school children aged 3 to 5 years of age and primary school students aged 5 to 12 years of age who have a moderate to profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss including those with additional needs.
The pre-school program is play based with an emphasis on developing both receptive and expressive language. The school based program continues the development of language through programs based on the Victorian Essential Learnings Framework. Individual Learning Plans are developed, implemented and monitored in partnership with parents.
