ANU has become one of the world’s leading centres for research and teaching on Asia. Faculty coursework and research covers histories, cultures, economies, societies, security and languages of the region.
Undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Asian Studies; Bachelor of Asian Studies (Specialist) (4 yrs); Bachelor of Security Analysis (Asia-Pacific); Bachelor of Translation (Asian Region) (4 yrs); Bachelor of Religions (Asian Societies); and Bachelor of International Business (Asia) - delivered jointly with Faculty of Economics and Commerce. The Bachelor of Asian Studies (Specialist) and Bachelor of Translation (Asian Region) incorporate a year of study in Asia. Combined degrees feature BAS degrees with Arts, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Law, Science, Visual Arts, Music, or Forestry. Outstanding students may take their degrees with Honours, taught by staff drawn from all relevant areas of the University / or may apply to access the Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours)(Asian Studies).
Graduate degrees: Master of Asia-Pacific Studies - 12 months; Master of Arts (Asian Studies) - 2 years; Master of Arts (SE Asian Studies) - 12 months - jointly with National University of Singapore.
