The University of Western Sydney is a research-led major urban university spread over six campuses throughout Greater Western Sydney. UWS is home to the $40 million Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment (HIE), Institute for Infrastructure Engineering (IIE), MARCS Institute and Institute for Culture and Society. Refurbished UWS campuses also house a state-of-the-art medical school, nursing laboratories, moot courts, Crime Scene House, the Biomedical Magnetic Resonance Facility and Secondary Ion Spectrometer.
