The college is located on the site of the old John Darling Colliery which provides a unique environment for the growth and positive development of young people in the college. The college is surrounded with bush on three sides, reminding us of the beauty of God’s creation whenever we walk around the college.
The college is structured so there is interaction between students of all ages, with the best use made of available facilities. The beautiful heritage buildings have been refurbished to provide modern classrooms and specialist rooms for the students. The college has a commitment to introduce new and innovative technologies and to train staff in new areas to maximise the educational advantage of our students in all aspects of learning.
We believe that God has individually gifted each student and it is our role as Christian educators to provide an environment for the development of their gifts, so that they can reach their full personal potential. We attempt to cater for the overall gift development of each student: academic, spiritual, social, emotional and physical. Even though levels of giftedness vary, all students are encouraged to reach their potential and work to the best of their ability in all they do. Extra remedial tuition is offered to those students who require special assistance. The aim of this is to integrate children back into a classroom setting where they can cope with the level of work being covered.
